    Hi there,

I'm here to try to find out how to get my site ranked a bit better in SEs. I've followed the motto "Build it and they will come", I've built my site (one and a half years, 700 posts, original content, well-linked (13K techno rank, majority of other bloggers in my field have freely linked to me), grammatically correct, no Black Hat, etc, etc) yet a good day is 1,000 visitors. I've even bought Aaron Wall's SEO Book, implemented many of his key suggestions, yet nothing really happened, and I only have one single decent keyphrase that ranks anywhere in the top ten on Google, MSN or Yahoo!.

Hopefully I can learn a bit from you all here!

    Ken

Thanks for the welcomes! First, I'm not Japanese at all!

hispalis: free directory - hmm, first off, the Japanese equivalent of Yahoo! Directory is called Yahoo! カテゴリ (category). Looking around, all the major Japanese portals seem to use カテゴリ (category) to describe themselves.

Free submission would then be 無料カテゴリ掲載, I would guess, or 無料カテゴリ登録. Both turn up lots of hits through Google.

I should have added - my web site is whatjapanthinks.com (oops, can't put URLs in yet!) - the current entry is one of my more light-hearted surveys, on the joys of Japanese public toilets...

autorave: Are you the writer for DoshDosh then? Funnily enough, I just subscribed a few days ago via a recommendation/link from Andy Beard.

    It's a small world!

Oh, and thanks for the compliment regarding my site!
