Are there over 20,000 Directories on the Net

I was gonna say that

 

20,000 is very small count. I think there are millions of directories.

i would think there would be tens of thousands min. of directory sites..also,do you have a thread malcomb1 with a list of your directory sites?Im in a submitting mood today

 

Couple of months back I was reading a post by a professional directory submitter ( Sorry forgot the ID0 that he has a list of 50,000 directories out of which 20,000 were selected for their eligibility for submission.

 

And i dont think there is a need for that much directories from the normal surfer point of view, the thing is PHPLD make it possible, every one is going to make a directory in just 5 minutes.

 

I'm willing to be theirs between 5 and 6K general US-Speaking Active Directories currently. Just a guess though

using the PHP LD templates there are already more than 25 million directories.

 

Mystikmedia has submitted to all the directories out there (except for one), maybe he has a list of the so called 20,000+ directories.

sorry i don't have any collection of those that you need but you can easily look for them by typing in your browser "shopping directories" or you can look for directories and then click on the shopping category which i believe you will not have a hard time finding.
