which seems likely enough the way things are going on , checkout might be taking over & paypal might feel selling out will be the best option.

We're waiting years for a good competition in this field already. Google seems to have no guts to tackle this task.

Funny thing, in the country where I reside

Google only sends cheques and no EFT. Paypal send only by EFT and no cheques.

I don't think so that Google may buy paypal as they have their own payment processor Google Checkout ;)

Sorry to sound harsh, but what a retardeded question.

**Paypal is a competitor of Google!**

Well Paypal is a competitor company of Google because Google has Google checkout payment option. So no chance of this but Google can pay money by Google Checkout.

Other way is possible when Google buy PayPal.:D

Paypal is onded by Ebay so unless they buy ebay as well they have no chance ;0 and seeing as Google only have about £8b in cash reserve after buying double click, that ain't likely to happen anytime soon.

Paypal is not a global payment option yet. I think google checkout will support all countries support adsense also. Hope they will issue a visa card for each adsense publisher.

IF google have such plans then he should change this plan, paypal is not good service because of its ultra security and rude staff.

I wish they did. And it will be almost impossible for google to buy Paypal, as it is owned by ebay. They need to buy ebay for that. :)

No... they would just need to buy PayPal FROM the Ebay company. Which, yes, would be near impossible, because it's such a huge growing company.
