Hm, so I guess this is why I got a 'fraudulous click' email from google a little over a week ago.

I wouldve appreciated it if they told me it's my proxy sites causing the problem. But no, instead they just leave you with a big questionmark circling your head as to which website was targetted.

I've removed the google ads from the proxy sites for now.
My payment has been suspended for now though, and I was told to contact Google. Have not heard a thing so far.

I understand Google cannot reply 'personally' with every email they get, but it would help the publishers and ultimately themselves and the advertisers if they would say which website has the fraudulant clicks so appropriate action can be taken.

I was just emailed a copy of the thread on this topic from www.proxy.org (I can't seem to keep an active account there).

You can clearly see that funkywizard is a Global Moderator on that forum with over 886 posts.

    Oh, and *I* am a troll. :) :) :)

I send over $2k to a guy incapable of running his own site, I help canceled Adsense publishers get reinstated and *I* am a troll.

funkywizard, you were sent here for one reason and that was to play damage control. Not only are you a low-life but you are part of the problem.

Where is this "evidence" that you speak of? All of the evidence that I have seen so far points to proxy.org. Since you felt so comfortable lulling the sheep over at the proxy.org forum perhaps you would like to grace us with this evidence that points to a 3rd party.

I have a few questions now that I know that you are part of proxy.org....

Have you taken any steps to filter the fake traffic?

Are you still accepting ads from unsuspecting proxy publishers?

    Do you have a conscience?

wow funny how he didn't mention that he was staff and that hes running back to his homebase with all the info. Proxy.org is up to no good by what i have read and im sure is still taking money for ads when you can clearly see that their list is the target.

5 people i know have received this Google letter about click fraud. and is it coincidence that they all have theyre sites listed on proxy.org? i think not.

but Baron is to blame for not stopping it. if i found out that my forum was causing damage to any of my members or sites. i would close it until i found the issue or dealt with it.

another thing that's funny is all of a sudden you see 2 or 3 sales for proxy.org ad spots for sale. and they all have different reasons on selling. but before this problem i don't recall ever seeing a proxy.org spot being sold.

can the wizard shed some light on this? or is Baron also lurking in fear to respond to this thread?

had no idea and im not a member of that forum. He never said it on this thread and has had his own agenda it seems.

damage control , like frog said. i was wondering why he was so pro proxy.org. now i know , and if theyre still accepting money for advertising knowing that they are putting people AdSense accounts in jeopardy , they deserve to go in the toilet.

Well he should not be out biting my hand as I may be the only guy on either of these forums that stands a snowballs chance in hell of getting him reinstated.

i wonder why did they just close my account instead of fining me!

its not just from proxies that we earn, there are other sites also which makes money into adsense. all gone.

and yes, my proxy was also at proxy.org :|

It would have to be G. Proxy.org doesn't have that power.

    WAIT

Proxy.org traffic goes directly into proxified pages (where you can't put adsense) not your own home page so if you placed adsense code on proxified pages (framed pages) then this is the reason Google banned your account

and btw, how come google knows the referrer of the refferer ? :D

Traffic comes into proxy.org > traffic goes to your site > traffic goes to Google advertisers

the third part can't know url of the first part of this chain ;)

I've made it so all proxy.org visits go straight to my homepage instead of anything else.

I think the main issue here is people who advertised with banners or top 10 listings on proxy.org. A lot of visits from those ads go straight to the homepage.

    Which forum email?

The accounts were NOT closed for TOS violations re: framed content... they were closed for fake click traffic.

    Please read the entire thread.
