Error Pages as marketing option?

Can I really use my 404 error webpage as a Marketing option? How?

 

What do you mean? For 404 pages, you can use it to market YOUR site. Make sure you make a professional 404 page that leads back to your mainsite.. you can always try to monetize the page with ads.. but that's not the professional way to go about things.

 

but i have heard that we can use 404 error page as a great marketing tool...what you have to say?

Yes, you can.. you can put any affiliates there.. some funny thing even there... http://www.plinko.net/404/ they have a nice information about all of these stuffs, and i really love to make beautiful 404 pages.
