Getting hits for strange keywords

    Hello there,
This month i saw a really strange thing on my AWstats report, my web hosting services site has received 4 hits for 4 non-related keywords, words that are not included anywhere in the site. These hits come from an "Unknown search engine" and the keywords that have been used are "subaru" or other chinese marks.

I do not have any explanation for this, does anyone have an idea? (the site URL is www.hs-hosting.net)

    Thank you.

The problem is that there is no referring URL, it all comes just from "Unknown search engine" so it is really hard for me to track where does this come from.

Why bothering yourself on that? I don't think that it could hurt your site.

4 hits - honestly who cares? It's irrelevant. If they were from MSN, Yahoo, or Google it might be worth looking into.

Maybe if you knew Chinese you would find your answer? Maybe your keyword translated in Chinese is related somehow.

You do take Chinese Currency right?

Last month I got over 1000 hits from the search phrase "indiana.jones.whip.or.no.whip" lol

All of them came within 24 hours from Google(so it said), and I never got another one again.

Now that makes sense, because i did notice an increase of traffic from China. It is not the 4 hits the problem, i just want to know who and why is coming on my "home"page.

You'd better try a statcounter project to track the keywords and the url they came from.

i received hits from unrelated keywords aswell. i think its just normal esp. if google cant find any site about that keyword. could also be on the comments.
