And Mr Benn, a candidate for Labour's deputy leadership, will confirm that UK officials will stop using the term.

Typical political rhetoric to boost someone's phoney reputation

It is about time this step was taken. It was somewhat relevant when this whole thing started after 9/11 but after that its about whims and wishes.

phony...I thought you called it illegal in many other threads...oh but wait, what law was broken....

furthermore, phony means not real, whereas the war is a very real thing...so what word are you going to start using next?

    Well deduced Sherloch.

I am referring to the fact that the Bush neocon mantra of "War On Terror" is phony.

Buzzwords created by the people in the Pentagon to keep sheeple like you in line.

And the only war will be the civil war between Sunni and Shi'ites created by the illegal US led invasion of Iraq. Your hero Bush, let by the people that control him has managed to create one of the biggest disasters of modern times d16man, and you still keep on resolutely defending him.

Ags your assuming that this civil war between shiites and sunnis was planned in advance. This civil war will now keep iraq in the adrk ages for the next 20 years. Like i said this kind of stuff was done even back in the roman times. Just smart empire building

It's all planned out well in advance. Years and years in advance.

Iran has already been planned out and it wouldn't surprise me if Syria has been planned out already. But Iran is next on the list for sure.
