Which extention is better from SEO point of View ?

The better domain names for popular extensions like .Com and .Net are almost all gone,
There are still some better domain names available for Non –popular extensions like .Info, .US and .Biz.

    My question is:

From SEO point of view, do search engines (like Google, Yahoo) discriminate of these non-popular domains like. Info etc comparing with .Com and .Net?

    Thanks.

No, it doesn't matter. I've seen .info & .us on the 1st page of Google.

Well my gut feeling is a .com is easier to boost than a .info .. or .biz..but it is really about promotion so (above) is right in the since any one can show up.

Example the myspace stuff is a "sub domain - different extension" nightmare for the end-user .. But a lot of them do very well on search only though.

In terms of Search Engines, they dont care what the extension is. If you are planning to get the majority of your traffic organically (Search Engines) or PPC then extension really isnt a big deal.

However, if you plan to promote your URL either on the web or offline, then you have a bigger issue, most people, especially those that are less internet saavy tend to be a bit leery about extensions that are not .com, .net. or .org. Also, chances are they wont remember and will just type in your domain followed by .com

Well even technically the TLD doesn't matter as many of the forumers said above Google tracks the behavior of visitors and rewards their primary selections. The .com is the default the typein traffic and the more people use it compared with an .info for example the more Google will like it

In generall the reply to your questions is that it doesn't matter but a .com will fit better in the lorg run

There is also the geographical location of your servers to take into consideration with the different search engines. There is an argument that Google puts emphasis on the TLD* in search results whereas MSN and Yahoo (probably) use the hosting country as their geographical guide.

    * TLD = top level domain e.g. .com or .net etc... (just for those who think I'm talking in TLAs :) )

It does not matter... that is why I got to register casino.rw and casino.com.kg... it is the same as casino.com, from a SEO perspective

imo, there will be no effect in se rankings , but it will mostly change your type in traffic .
I mean, people will type .com , even if the website they want to go to is .org .
When they do not go to that website, they search for it in google, & finally reach it .
It has happened in my arcade's case.
