hi, i am about to start purchasing lots of links for a website that is already well established and ranks well. i want to get top places for very difficult keywords.

i plan to purchase the links gradually with all different anchor texts, so what is the maximum safe number of links i can add every day (with different text) to be sure i will not look suspicious in the eyes of God Google.
    my website is www.sesile.com

I would think that 5 to 10 a day would be quite reasonable. I would vary that number though so it looks organic. You might try some days with 20+ and other days with 2 or 3.

yes, different numbers every day is a very good idea! very valuable. but actually google doesn't notice them anyway on the same day? right? or maybe not right? i am under the impression that especially internal pr 3 or lower pages will get crawled once a week or so (in general, of course it depends on the website too)... am i wrong?

precisely. I believe that G doesn't notice the change in backlinks on a daily basis esp since diff websites get crawled at diff frequencies. So it is hard to tell how many is too many. So unfortunately, if anyone has a number, i wld be interested to know too

But, think i shld correct you on the point abt PR3 or lower pages..... those low PR pages can be crawled as infrequent as once per few months! If you get crawled once per wk, i wld say that is pretty respectable.

I think 10-20 per day with varied number (say, 11 in one day, 16 in next day, 14 in other day like taht) is highly advisable. Although google crawls at least once in a week in deep links, it may calculate your weekly backlink updation...

If you plan to keep getting and buying links in the future also, then you can plan and buy lesser links in the coming days. For example, if you plan to continue buying links for your site say for the next 10 - 12 months, it will be advisable to go slow initially. Buy maybe 1 link every day, aiming not more than 30 - 50 links every month. IMO, lots of good links in a short period of time, and then nothing after that can lead to Google to penalize your site. So don't make the link gathering graph show 300 links in 1 month and nothing after that.

hi dear mad4, i read some of that page, but of course it is a full day reading or more to read it all.
it is the first time that i hear that actually paid links are supposed to be criminal or something like that to such an extent that they need reporting even!
i always thought that backlinks=traffic and since traffic=money then it is normal to backlinks=money and to pretend that this is not so will be silly. am i wrong at some point?

in my type of industry, online dating to wait for natural backlinks is very silly, everybody gets very few no matter how good their site is and just waiting for them will take him no where, 200% guarantee. it might be different in other spheres of online services.

The facts you need to know is that Google doesn't like people who buy and sell links.

Use this information as you will.

if i was not aware of this i would not create this post... but also i should note my personal observations over the years that they give excellent results although google knows very well that they are paid ones.

other well-known belief that i do not agree with: get link only related to your website theme...
so what if i can't enough of those? they are simply not available... so i work with links on any quality website... and it works...

The higher the PR of the website you're buying a link on, the less per day you should buy.

I would play it safe and add 1-2 a day.

Submission in free or directories work quite well in that sense, because they are not typically added immediately and help showing a more random and therefore natural pattern of gaining links.

Free (or cheap) is not always bad...:)

ok, thanks that is again very helpful - the higher rank, the less per day... yes
at the moment i do 2 or 3 a day so 1 or 2 is not practical but maybe go to 4 to 8 a day depending on the rank as you say, or if it pr 6 then lets say only 1 that day, like that maybe...

Remeber that a popular story can generate thousands of links a day, Google have taken this into consideration.

The key word is organic — just make the linking pattern to your site natural!

Normally 2 or 3 a day would be OK I think. As people have mentioned previously it's got to look "organic" to Goog...

No one mentioned anything about criminal activities. Google doesn't like paid links, though; they want to detect these, and devalue them. They'll still pass on traffic, just not affect your page rank of SERPs position.
