Can we do the wire transfer to India directly. Can anyone please explain the process.

 

From where the money would be coming?

 

from USA to India

 

Yes, just ask the guy from US to transfer the money to your account. Just provide him all the details he need to transfer the money to India.

 

Yes, you have to provides all the bank account details to that person who is doing wire transfer for you.

 

But you can't wire transfer from paypal. You can use this wire transfer service only with other normal person or firms...

try xoom, but intra Indian Transaction is not permitted. I am using it for last 6 months, within half an hr u will get ur payment

I think there are few Indian resident here that manage to send their money to India. Try to search the forum.

 

We use xoom often for some software guys we have in India. The fees are very reasonable.

 

to make a wire transfer to another country you need to know:
bank name
full holder name
acc number
IBAN
correspondent acc of this bank in usa

 

Open Paypal account which is very easy for you to online money transfer.

 

just ask them to send using western union. It costs 3% and you will get instant cash!

 

You need to give the US guy your a/c no. and SWIFT code of your bank. Additional details include name and address of you and the bank as well.

IBAN can replace SWIFT code but may be not available in your bank!
