I am making a site about nanotechnology. Please help me pick a logo design. Here are some ideas that I'm throwing out there. All the example logos will fit into an image like the one shown at the top of the page. http://www.nanoservicelabs.com/logos.php
I would say this one: because the alignment is better in this one.. the others: letters don't line up..
You inspired an (I think good) idea! This is basically representing an electron microscope or any number of nanotechnology related analysis tools. What do you think?
I don't like the shadow on arrows. Heck, I don't think I like the arrows. I would put just an arrow, horizontally accross the letter O. With no shadow...kind of like a phoenitic deal.
Like this? I personally like the other one arrangement better because it has a related meaning. Here it is without shadows:
to me...they're not really logos, it's just text mostly.... You don't want an actual graphic logo for the company?
I want to keep it relatively simple, and I want to include the name of the company in the 'logo', hence this approach. I am a complete noob to logo design, so feel free to make other suggestions. Regarding the suggestion to put a science related item (test tube / beaker), I'm not sure what I could use that relates to nanotechnology. Things like carbon nanotubes are probably too complicated and would clutter things up. Same with the complicated instruments that are used. I will keep thinking about it... I am a long ways off from launch so there is no hurry. Thanks
madscout...put the arrow above the O...not in it. fs...yes they are text, but still can be considered a logo with the arrow treatments.
This looks much better but I would make the main text a bit larger to line up with the slogan (alignment is key to an appealing logo design)
I think you my want to have a look at this website www.cooltext.com, it generates online logos for you. Good Luck
Here is a new idea with a 3-d cube on the O. I also made the main text bigger to match the width of the slogan.
Your logo is simple enough and suits the market however you need to do something more creative with the icon. The arrows don't and won't work, they'll become too small. When letterspacing to the wide examples above its important to make sure the word spacing takes account of that wide letterspacing, so make sure its 3 spaces rather than 1. Your "connecting people" strapline will also become small and hard to read so I'd avoid italics. I had a little play around with icons, its not a finished article and the choice of font is purely to emulate the above, but hopefully it'll get you thinking.
I Know something about branding and design, I think the best option for you site is the same logo as matrix0978. It has a corporate and sophisticated style. Simple But Direct!
