Your source? That persons source? Just because someone in a forum says something doesn't make it true.

It would be more believable IF there was a source attached to the claim (like cianuro stated). I didn't see this anywhere on the net :p personally, if it is true, I'll be the rare one who doesn't really find dogpile useful at all..

Dogpile is truly not bad. Little slow but searches pretty deep and has good results.

If you really need something and are a rookie at search then try ChaCha. If you need help a real person will give you what you need. No charge!!!

No matter how much we curse google, fact is it not only has largest number of indexed pages, but also delivers good results at a good speed, though you might have to use different search strings to get good results.

Dogpile is a meta search engine right? It takes results from the major search engines are then rearranges them + add in advertisements.

Dogpile is really excellent. It pulls results from all those big search engines. But one problem I saw with it was that it was slower than the other biggies. But, do you think Google would entertain its growth ?

But, anyway, Google and the others doesn't have to worry in the near future since Dogpile doesn't have its own spider. So, the biggies have a upper hand in bashing the pooch.

But who knows, maybe Dogpile would make a spider once it gets the traffic it needs. And, it will rule the search engine kingdom. That would be a scare to Google. It grew as a parasite and suddenly, it went big. Take that, Google !! ;)

lol. I though you have some poll or statistics to prove it. :|
I've used dogpile several times, it does give out good results but not as good as Google's, yahoo's, and even MSN's.
