I dont think so, that wouldnt make sense. But that doesnt mean hes not right. Hes just noticed some thing and hes sharing it. P.S. I've seen my site drop down in search rankings, i cant even find it for one certain keyword. It happened just yesterday over night.
Hm.... definitely not good for some (black hatters!) if its true. (I haven't seen any ranking fluctuations yet for my sites though..)
I agree to many of his conclusions and observations. I have seen the serp fluctuation in the past days and I didn't know what google means by that.
A good read for sure thanks for sharing. I have a few sites ranking in the top 10 though and have not seen any fluctuations for them. I have however seen fluctuations for some of my keywords that were not in the top ten. I have seen those climb.
From what I've seen, if I rank in the top page for any term I get thrown around like a rag doll anyway, so how could you tell? They could be updating their algo every hour for what I know
They do, but it doesn't mean they implement that changes every time they're glad of results. I've got a hundreds of sites and last couple days ware a one huge serps-shake. But on the other hand I'd be careful with talking about algorithm update, it seems more like PR update.
Its something that is constantly being tweaked, thats my understanding anyway. I dont see any point if we have no idea what they did.
