Now you don't have to ask or start threads anymore.
Just go here, enter your domain name, and you will know.

    http://www.seologs.com/pr-check/pagerank-dc.html

If you see a PR score you have never seen before, then you know something is going on. If you see your normal score, or 0's, then you can be confident nothing major is happening just yet. No more PR threads! lol

I'm was just trying to help people *stop* making the threads. Even with the sticky, they keep making "omg is pr updating?!?!!" type threads.

Maybe Shawn needs to have a multipage questionair that senses when a new post creating a new thread asks about PR. When it triggers a red flag on PR it is then sends the poster to a reliable tool that says yeah of neah it is happening and then if the poster insist that thier thread must be posted and the the thread is just "another pr" thread then the mods can give a warning. :D

PR is dieing, isn't it? I was ranked number 2 right under wikipedia for a set of keywords, and i have PR0. You will notice that many low PR sites kill high PR sites in the ranking. If google uses PR in their algorithm at all, its minimal.

Are you sure PR means nothing? I think you should wake up --about the importance of PR.

I have compiled Google's official policy detailing the importance of PR in SERPs --pls read it --(and hopefully you will discard the wrong notion)

Pal, PR is some kind of evaluation of a site. It's strenght with links strenght etc... So PR is important, but maybe some people overrate this figure and make something like "PR religion" which is not to wise. PR is good, and used in right way can bring some profits (I don't mean links trading or money, just in general).

Problem is some people are making money off this number like selling links. Just as Alexa Rank is relatively useless, still bloggers are trying to boost their ranks to get better commission from ReviewMe or PPP.

Sure People  Very intelligent on your part and say PR is nothing and yet you read and post. Something is missing. Maybe post count ?
