Which is better out of the singular of plural for these keywords? Say you were going to register the Keyword.extention, which is better?

    1. Loan or Loans?
    2. Game or Games?
    3. Job or Jobs?
    4. Video or Videos?
    5. Hotel or Hotels?
    6. Domain or Domains?

it really depends on the context.

    i use both.

can you be more specific, without giving too much away?

I am just talking about for resale purposes of these ccTLD names as to which keywords are more popular & gets a higher price. For example:

    Loan.extention or Loans.extention

LOL. Well for starters it's extension. I think what it really comes down to is which one is going to be easily optimized for the search engine. People rarely type it in unless it is a well established site, but in that case they will try one and if it's not what they need they will type the other.

Take a look of most big loan sites for example the one advertising on the TV - CashCall and LendingTree. They use words that would never confuse the customer as to whether it's singular or plural.

for domains plural seems to work better - DomainsBot.com PCNames.com, but then there is also NameCheap.com which is singular.

I think it mostly depends on which one is easier to pronounce remember, so it would depend on the other word.

LoanExtensions sounds better in my mind.

    Cheers!

Plural is better... most people would search for "free games" or "free videos" before "free video" or "free game"

Ok, there seems to be a few people that prefer singular & others that prefer plural, lol.

Actually, I was thinking that the plural was better, eg. Loans.xx, Games.xx, etc.

    It depends on domain itself.

For example, FlashGames.com is better than FlashGame.com
and, NewYorkCity.com is better than NewYorkCities.com

Just only talking about the keyword dot extention without anything else in front of it, eg.

    Loan.com or Loans.com
    Game.com or Games.com

If it's just one word I'd go with plural in most cases.

In that case, the plural version is better but singular version isn't less worthy either.

    (1) Use Google suggestion Labs

(http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en ) , as you type the key word, it will show you how many results related to this key words, like, if you want “funny video” or “funny videos”, if you type “funny v” , it will show you for “funny video”, there are 223 000 000 search results, for “funny videos” there are 116 000 000 results, so in this case, maybe video is better than videos. ( I am not sure , just guess)
But some times, when you search Video, it also give you the site with Videos, because Videos include Video.

    (2) Use Google ad words key words tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) , to check the key words.
    (3) Check many keywords suggesting tools online

    (4) So it really depends on many factors.

    I think game.com and games.com . Game.com will be worth more. The same for loan.com .
4 letter domain with meaning is more worth then 5 letter domain with plural. This is my opinion any way.

Whichever makes sense and gets more searches is best IMHO. If there very good keywords both the singular and plural with have a high resell value.

It depends on the activity of website. But mostly singular proncible letters are easy for uses. But if u ask me loan or loans, i go for loans
