My guide to fighting spam in PHPBB

I've recently written a brief guide on fighting spambots and spam registrations on PHPBB forums.

Good guide, but I don't think it would stop XRumer 3.0 Gold. :S PHPBB isn't good anyways.

 

I like the guide but phpBB is too hard to keep spam-free IMO. :]

 

EGS, if you still use PHPBB try the 'user must have made X posts before posting URLS' mod, seriously it cuts 99% of all spam....

 

Good guide, Don't use PHPBB anymore, IPB is much better, more secure, pricey!! But it was worth it.

 

That's a great article.

The main reason why I still use Phpbb is because of the mods. The main one is the seo friendly url mod that gives url's .htm extensions for the search engines.
