Banner and BG for my site using a wordpress theme. 50$ paypal cash prize [today]

    site: cabinetmakers.ca
font: ariel or any other popular font

I'm running this contest hoping to complete today. I'll pay 50$ (paypal cash)for the best banner and BG image to compliment cabinet plans, drawings, layouts. I'd like to keep the feel of a CAD drawing or even blueprints representing a kitchen layout.

Use your own creativity, mine is toast for the weekend but need this together asap. The site at present is a wordpress theme, images there will be replaced by the winning entry here. I'm not running this contest anywhere else.

I favor a professional, clean feel and if one catches my eye I wont hesitate to accept it right away and close the contest. Don't pay attention to the present colors on the site, I'm using that theme for its layout only.

I reserve the right to not pick a winner based on the final entries given.

cabinet plans, drawings, layouts are the basis of what the banner should portray. and the bg should fit well with it.

This includes the banner and background. I just adjusted the color of everything else. So you would only get a PSD of the banner and of the background.

I'm open to the idea of an image. and the one you did up has a nice color feel fitting well into the site itself. My only issue with this one image happens to be the chisel. Chisels arent used often in general cabinetry but still acceptable, if the chisel were used I'd want it more prevelant. Many wouldnt know it by the butt end of the handle. The file is right on through, happens to be one of the best ones on the market too. Thats the one i use at least once every day or two.

The image i have in my head for a banner is the portrayal of a shop plan, even for just one cabinet. or perhaps the shop plans of an entire wall of cabinets.

if the right image comes along however, i can be converted. yours is very close to that now.

I should add that the font would be appropriate in ariel or any other widely favored font. no fancy fonts required.

The blue is too much. I'm looking it over now and will comment on it more in a sec

Changed it to a wood-like color. Much more calm and cleaner looking, in my opinion.
