I just have a small question (as you see in the title).
I have made a blogger.com blog. And i would like to know is it is easy for google to find posts from blogger.com?
will my blog posts appear on google?
    Thanks in advance

as soon as it get indexed by google it'll show on google but you have to work more for it to rank and be seen..improve your link popularity with your targeted keywords and that might help...

use your feed, go to feedburner to use it, and then get some add to google etc buttons in your site! that will help you to ping google!
    make backlinks and get indexed!:D

my blogs are indexed in 3 days or less. then a few days later they drop out completely. i don't know why the hell google bothers to index them in the first place.

    Hello again...
Well now I just searched the net and found an article that described why not to make a blog at blogger (and all the other free ones).
So i think I'll check out wordpress and maybe buy a domain for it.

The problem was.. that if i write a very popular blog and it is hosted somewhere else but my own domain,. Then if the host closed down the service i would loose my blog. I would then have to start over at a new place.
all the links around the net that would be pointing to my blog would be wearth nothing. I would have to start all over to earn visitors and so on..

It got me wondering if it was bette to buy a domain and install wordpress.

What do you think about that?

I have a hosting service but I like to have my blogs at blogger because it easy to manage and add stuff and if I decide to cancel my hosting, I still have my blogs forever. Of course there are a few drawbacks, like less overall control but hey it is free.

The problem I have found is with the new blogger that my blog is listed but no description shows up. Does anyone know how to fix that?
Also does it pay to have your own domain name with a blogger account?

Blogger.com is good but I would suggest to register a domain and install wordpress on it.

You have a way more options, have full control and a clear URL

I think so, but to speed up the index in Google, build quality links.

I use different blogs on blogger.com for different subjects that i like to write about. I also run my own wordpress blogs.

wordpress blogs give you a lot of advantages over other blogs - but when your just starting out - and you aren't sure if you are going to build up a habit of blogging - then its best to start free.

You can always import a blogger blog into wordpress anyway...

blogger blogs do get ranked, indexed, build page rank and alexa ranks...

With the same content and work, Google would prefer the Blogger.com's blog (or Blogspot.com or whatever) or the one of your domain with Wordpress ?

This is good advice, alot of these blogger things kinda rip you off in a way. Its pretty easy to setup some cheap hosting and put a blog on it.

Hey thanks a lot for for all the answers! :)
I did not know that it was possiblet to import the blogger-blog into wordpress! need! :)
I have a domain at the moment.
If I install wordpress (i did that yesterday) at the domain can i then later move the wordpress blog to an other domain? with som kind of backup feature?
I might just buy a domain at hostzero.dk There i have to pay only once.. and then later is my site gets popular i can upgade to a better service :)
Now i am wondering... the problem as I see it is that if blogger shuts down I'll loose my blog.. but what i my host shuts down...then I'll also loose my blog? Hmmm... Here the backup would come in handy too :)
