I have very aggressive campaign in my home environment ( all people I know ) I convinced some that Internet is good as it is now. I teach older people how to use it for their own good and how not to "fear" it. Most people have some sort of fear...either they will brake into my computer or my children will be aggressive because they play Quake It is stupid we all know but that is the way it is. We have to start small and take care of our relatives. Explain them what wonderful thing Internet is and they will spread the word further ... The problem is that media already is portraying Internet as something bad because of all the porn and couple of other things. Church is involved there too. It is interesting though that church owned commercial Internet and digital TV provider here in Slovenia has 9 porn channels available all day....They don't mind that I guess... As for your regular job thing. I learned when I was 7 years old that I go to school not to learn and to use that knowledge to make something and be creative but I go to school to work for someone ! My parents, teachers and all other people were always saying. Study boy so you can get a good JOB .... I told everyone whoever said this to me FUCK YOU and explained why. Probably most people will understand this but some probably won't ...
What a steaming pile of horse shit. I'm sick of reading about this all the god damn time. When will people take a minute and reflect? You know, EXCERCISE RESPONSIBILITY. It's been drilled into our heads since childhood and it seems like no one understands what the hell it means. You got a computer virus? Maybe you shouldn't have downloaded blowjobsbybrittney.exe. You just got a $5,000 charge on your credit card? Well, maybe you shouldn't have given your credit card number to Wale, the exiled prince of Nigera. Your 10 year old kid just saw explicit video in an internet chat room? Well shit, maybe you shouldn't be letting your children freely surf the INTERNET, a network of websites WHERE EVERYTHING GOES. Jesus tap dancing Christ, am I insane or something, or is this not blatantly obvious to everyone here? Why in the hell should anyone have to lose their rights on the internet because other people aren't RESPONSIBLE enough to take care of themselves and their children? I'm not insane, that is insane.
Its the same here, study well and get a good job... I hate the censorship and propaganda here... even porn is illegal and free speech is limited.. can't even say something bad about the government or a gov leader Even clubbing is "bad" as the media here always associate clubs with drugs, fighting etc.
I understand your frustration perfectly. I'm frustrated as well. When I first saw that article, my blood boiled, because I knew exactly what it was about. Its like you know before you even read it... I seriously agree. I've been trying to explain to my mother that she doesn't have to keep getting ripped off for long distance by big phone companies. All she has to do is get Skype, or an instant messaging program. I'm going to have to get her a computer to show her how this all works... But you're right, it is all about education...my family's religion has been attacking the dangers of the Internet, and I find that suspicious, because I think they may be in bed with the government. Me and my grandmother got in a serious argument one day. She accused me of calling her stupid because I was explaining why the Internet is so valuable....OMG, it is hard trying to explain it to people who never use it. But freedom is seriously at stake here.
The schools are government controlled... Have to get education from the internet! Without the internet, we will all be very stupid! + we will all have to do 9 to 5 jobs
That's the way these people operate mate, putting the fear of death into people that should really think how much BS their Governments tell them evey week and then start damn waking up. Why do you think people like Mia and GTech think all Muslims are terrorists, the war is going well and Dubya Bush is a great President? There are a group of us on the internet trying to wake these damn sheeple up, this is one of the reasons the Illuminati want to control the internet, they didn't realise how viral the internet would be and they are losing their grip on the sheeple, still a long way to go but us truthers are making progress.
That is the truth. But I think we can beat the government/corps. I know they are not invincible. I any event, I've been up all night working, so I'm about to head off to sleep. I just wanted to post this thread so everyone can be aware of this attack on our online freedoms.
