I've joined the Amazon.com affiliate program, but I live in the UK. This means that I can't enter my bank details, and I don't want Gift Certificates. My only option is to get a cheque when I eventually reach $100, and Amazon deduct $15 from it and my bank will deduct even more when I cash it. Oh, and the exchange rate is crappy too. Is there a better way? Should I try to find a US bank I can sign up with, or should I just suck it in and be happy with what I get? Cryo.
amazon does not deduct $15 the deduction is for US only I pay $5-$12 depending on the bank to cache a check
Thanks for letting me know - I double-checked the Amazon help pages, and you're quite correct. I'll see if I can find a UK bank that doesn't charge (much) for cashing a US cheque... Cheers, Cryo.
You can also accept a gift certificate and eventually sell it to someone else using Paypal, bank deposit, etc. etc.
The best way to do this is to open a foriegn currency bank account in the UK with the primary currency as US dollars. You can then accumulate all your US dollars in this account and then move a whole chunk of money into your english currency account and then you will lose a lot less on conversion rates.
therer is amazon.com, co.uk, .de, etc..etc.. The problem is if you sell products in a specific country you NEED to sign up with the amazon affiliate program in THAT country. Eg. they do NOT provide direct deposit from the states to Germany, which is retarded. So for my US sales i will get checks and then the $15 deducted in addition. For my german stores i have a german amazon ID and direct deposit. Also..if you find a US bank...i think the COST of transferring the money to EU would be not worth it (Correct me if you find a good way)
pixads posted this earlier too.. amazon US does not deduct $15 for check to associates outside of US the deduction is for US associates who wants to receive payment by checks ..
