Which 'social' sites get a webmaster the most amount of traffic?

I know digg, i know stumble upon...Just wondering which are the other big players?

Oh alright. I did not mean site's like orkut/myspace etc. More of the digg and stumbleupon kind if you know what i'm talking about

 

well, social networking and social bookmarking are two different things!

you can scam myspace and spam digg!!

but then, i get some hits from myspace also, so i can't really go against that, though i don't use it, but my friends do and they keep posting my sites links everywhere which i don't have control over!

Now Public sends quite a bit of traffic but they are more news oriented and they watch it pretty closely as far as spam goes.

 

digg, SU, delicious, and reddit are more than enough for me

Reddit did well for me on a couple things but now it seems most articles get knocked down to 0 points pretty quick - seconds after posting too. I have good karma, but I guess they're doing some new things to it.

 

you know it depends on the kind of audience you're targeting. Reddit readers have more sensible stuffs to say, and their site brings in loads of traffic! For more news-worthy items, I'd go for Netscape.

 

I say digg, del.icio.us, reddit and stumbleupon bring the most traffic. Ofcourse, you'll need a great article to draw them in.

no doubt digg send the biggest traffic. used the most catchy title, thats what i notice about stories that get frontpage. the best list, awesome, etc. reddit is also good and so is del.iciou.us. others are just good for backlinks
