http://digg.com/apple/WTF_Mac_Store_Photo I can't believe people actually dugg this story. It's just a picture of a sign that's only kind of funny, but everyone dugg it because it has the word "Mac" in it. Why is there always crap like this on the Digg frontpage?
I don't know, I thought it was kind of funny. Put the word MAC in anything and people will digg it. The only thing that bugs me is that the guy then goes on to plug his coffee store in the Flickr description, specifically because it was dugg.

most people get to the top of digg by paying someone for digging! this is a very bad way! but then it works! i have never made it to the top of digg, and am never interested in it!
Most people do not make it to the top of Digg by paying. They know how to write attractive titles and descriptions.
http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=macs_cant This thread reminds me of the above link. I laughed so hard at that.
There's certainly some stories that make the front-page because people paid users to digg them, but nobody is paying 1000-3000 people to digg their stories. Those got there because they were legitimately entertaining. Today must have been a slow digg day, many of those were really old (many I saw via stumbleupon)
