Using pink in my blog design

Alright, so i want to start a blog. To start with it's focussed on all internet users, but i have included the color 'pink' in my blog design. Wondering if it will be too girly and boys will not come to read my blog

There are many diffrent shades of pink so this is a tough call. There is a dusty rose almost sun down/ dusk color which isnt too girly there is also coral color and thats a form of pink. I think as long as the pink is not over powering and its not barbie/baby doll pink you should be fine. And in reality you should make it any color you want because i dont think people come to blogs for their colors. Im sure if your blog is about somthing intresting you will have people come to it reguardless of its color.

 

Yup i agreee pink is kinda girly, but then again it all depends on the theme of your blog and wot your offering, If itz to do with tech stuff then using pink is kinda odd lol, so pick your colors according to wot you offer and wot your blog is abt

 

Will guys really discriminate a blog because its pink? lol. If you're not sure.. then you can always go for red..

most pinks are for girls, and the soft pink that you chose is very girly

 

well think, if it may not attract as many men, it will attract more girls, try change it to a color that will apeal to both, like a orange, or red

I have a pink monochrome site (pink, black, grey, white) and I get LOTS of male visitors
I think it has more to do with what ELSE is going on in the site too
if you have girly fonts, girly clip-art and javascript trails with little hearts - then yes, the boys will run

Pink is generally associated with girls, but one can desing a girly site with blues (or any other color) also.

girls probably like pink, but its not wheter they like it or not. its about how to use the colour pink.
I have seen sites that use pink, but very rare

 

Pink is sexy, but depends on the shade though.. it might look girlish if it's too pink..

 

I wouldn't recommend red.. apparently it evokes aggression (its a psychological thing) a maroon is okay though, just not bright red.

BTW: pink does not attract girls to sites
