its gambling for your reputation at its best nothing more...

You can make it sing and dance with all the bells and whistles and
mods but its still the same ... a sub-form of gambling, nothing more..

    thx

Like I said, I think the idea is great, but I would be pissed if I spent that kind of money only to have someone else come along and knock me off the front page, which if I want back I'll have to spend more money, heck by the time you are done you could be a $1,000 in the hole and all you would have show for it is 1 link which might become pr5, 6 or whatever you think the page might get.

Again, I can not see the value in this. But I guess it is working for others so who am I to judge.

Its any type you want it to be.... :p

Anyone who throws money around in large sums has
something he is promoting or trying to impress others
and or taking a risk for betterment of his sites or self ..

Do you see it any other way?

@ banless.... we all have our agendas some more then others..
I agree but its like anything else its the "In Thing" or "Whats Hott" at this moment

    thx

I can see your point. I listed on the first page of dollarlinking for cheap--couple of months back. The highest bidder on mainpage was $75 then.

Now I don't even check where my position is --as I don't think a PR5/4 link is worth more than what I paid --so what If I don't get it now.

Whereas I wouldn't mind having one off these directories, I struggle to understand why anyone would spend their money this way ?

Till I read this thread, I had never heard of any of these directories, well perhaps I'm off to buy before,,,

I think about it too much :)

I'd rather keep paying for a listing here at $279 for 6 months and get 2,800 links instead of wasting all of that on 1 link.

It also depends on intentions of the directory owner. I can already see that --bigweblinks is going to be PR7. So if one is buying a strong PR7 link on a page with 15 OBL --it would cost around --$40-50 --so its around $480-600/year.

Same with these directories too-- I know an0n and mystikmedia are crazy promoters ( if anyone has any doubt contact me --I'll supply you the data:p ) --so your money is always safe with them.

    But others ---well?????
Maybe because I don't know most promoters --so I don't know about them. I saw there was a thread --about strongest bidding directories --that was according to Page Strength.

I wish I start a thread on bid directories based on Link-Strength. ( Well got an idea right now --I'll start a blog on my directory now and create my form of strognest directories ):D But I just don't want it --as it will create lots of displeasure among many of my colleagues.

Just give credit were credit were credit is truly due and do not base it on who you like the best, nothing wrong with making people work harder to prove themself worthly of being called the best. I think we already have too much of that right now already. I am sure other owners would respect that, I know I would.

I can't speak for others, but I also am looking for high quality traffic on the sites that I invest in heavily in this niche. The people coming to these sites are very much targeted and interested in services I have linked there. So, the traffic is high quality, and of course the more of it the better. That's what I have been working just as hard on for Big Web Links as links --- traffic; good traffic. I think if both of those things are done, it provides an exceptional value for submitters. Plus, the way it works most of the time (excluding Rob) is people bid a little at a time. So, it's not all that much at one time, and works out easier. Anyway, just a little info on my thoughts for this niche.

Ahhh... Hollywood ! Who's your favorite actor / actress maybe Donald Trump or Vince Mcmahon.

The brands speak for itself ! Do you use Giorgio Armani or Tag. Levis Jeans from JC Penney or Levis Jeans from Thrift Shop. South Pole Shirts or Thrift Shop Shirts.

    Please opinions. :D

Lol--thats funny mate. I might like some-one and might not. But the tools don't care those isn't? And if I can't give a creditable explaination --everybody will joke at me--( I bet you will be the first:p )

So I need sound backing for my list to earn respect and credit among directory owners isn't?
I am already installing the blog--will use the v2evolution script--it is very good to create lots of multiblogs inside a BLOG:D
