that is a social bookmarking site, people use to bookmark the sites using it, and you get traffic. some thing like the stumble, but then perhaps the nofollow is not there i would also like to know some experience, about some real traffic anyone have got or not! for this site
Stupid question - if I create a del.icio.us account and bookmark my own page - how will other people find it? It seems that del.icio.us does not "push" pages to people like for instance Stumble.
The Maximum traffic you can get from del.icio.us is around 300-400 UV I get around 10-20 /day though (from del.icio.us) I like Digg more because the funda is get 50 Diggs to your story and you will get aorund 5000-10000 UV Great isnt it
Not always true. Del.icio.us can drive 10,000+ if you get enough people bookmarking the site. It all depends if you get on their front-page or "hot" pages. If you do, the traffic is pretty significant. One of my posts was front-paged on Del.icio.us and received close to that (7,000 I think), about 10,000 from reddit, 50,000 from StumbleUpon, and 100,000 from Digg. For the right type of articles, all of these can drive some pretty significant traffic.
Some how, I got banned from Digg, not sure why, but had good traffic from there. I get 'Bad ip' when I try to go there now, i'm wondering what will happen once I change my IP address.
The nice thing about StumbleUpon is that it stretches out over time. For example, this post has received about 35,000 visitors from StumbleUpon over the past 3 weeks, but it's been very consistent (compare this with Digg, where you get 10 visitors per second initially, but zero by the next day).
