10 reasons why you should vote for Ron Paul in 2008.

If most of you have been tuning into television lately, you probably notice that a lot of hype has been placed on Hillary and Barack Obama. Because of George W. Bush's low approval rating, many Americans have lost faith in the Republican Party, and much of it is for good reason.

However, fellow Americans, I must emphasize that the Democrats WILL NOT save you if they are elected in 2008. Hillary is wishy washy about immigration issues, and she believes in gun restriction, as does Obama. Hillary will also continue an aggressive foreign policy against the Middle East.

One candidate that you've probably not heard of is congressman Ron Paul. He is from Texas, and though he is running under the Republican Party in 2008, he is a LIBERTARIAN at heart, and he still has strong ties to the Libertarian Party. Ron Paul cares about one thing, and this is freedom.

If you truly love your country my fellow Americans, you will do what is best. You will vote for Ron Paul, and ignore the hype which surrounds Hillary, Barack, and McCain. Below are ten reasons why you should vote for Ron Paul. Copy paste this thread, and send it to your friends and family:

    1. Ron Paul believes in the Constitution. Like the founding fathers, he believes it is the highest law in the land.

    2. Ron Paul will get tough on immigration. He is not wishy washy like Hillary, He will seal the borders, and stop illegals from pouring into this country.

    3. Ron Paul is concerned about our economy. He has stated that the American dollar is being devalued, and if something is not done soon, America could collapse.

    4. Ron Paul believes in non-interventionism. This means staying out of other country's business. The first President of the U.S., George Washington, also believed in the same thing. If elected president, Ron Paul will turn American from an empire into a Republic. He will bring the troops home, not just from Iraq, but from military bases around the world.

    5. Ron Paul hates the Fed. If elected president, he will go after it.

    6. Ron Paul hates the income tax. If elected president, he will go after it.

    7. Ron Paul is a firm believer in the second amendment.

    8. Ron Paul wants the American dollar to be backed by a gold standard, which can reduce the effects of inflation.

    9. Ron Paul supports small businesses, that means you Digital Point members! He also supports net neutrality.

    10. Ron Paul believes that state governments should be given more power, and the Federal government should not control them.

    11. Ron Paul is a moonbat that tinkers with beliefs in 9/11 conspiracies. That's the real reason anyone would probably want to vote for him. If he wasn't giving aid and comfort to conspiracy nuts, no one would probably pay any attention to him.

If I was American Ron would get my vote, an honest politician is a rarity amongst all these crazy corrupt lunatics.

EDIT: LMAO funny to see GTech having a go at him because he questions the 9/11 fraud.

This is interesting Gtech. Instead of looking at the good things he believes it, which I stated in my first post, you attack his belief in 911 being an inside job.

Even if 911 is not an inside job(which I don't believe), Ron Paul will slaughter McCain or Hillary in the debates. I find it hard to believe you disagree with any of the 10 reason I mentioned Gtech. I find it hard to believe any American would.

Gtech, personal attacks against presidential candidates isn't very mature. Please attack all their views rather than one. I find it hard to believe anyone here at Digital Point can attack Ron Paul's views. His views are so............American.

Indeed. It is a shame you don't live in the U.S. We need all the votes we can get.

Right, but you also let alex jones do your thinking and believe in 9/11 conpiracy theories that give aid and comfort to terrorists. Wouldn't you think that anyone who believe in alternate reality would get your vote?

Umm Gtech, even if Ron Paul believed the official story of 911.......I would still vote for him. His other views and beliefs are just too good to let that get in the way. This guy destroys the other candidates, you do know that right?

I point it out as the hidden objective of your post. *Anyone* that will cater to those who believe in alternate reality will get the vote of those who do also. It's their voice of misrepresentation.

Anyone can make a list and say this is what they support. I would imagine he'd need to make a strong list in order to over-compensate for the fact he's also into conspiracy theories that absolve terrorists of their crimes. That won't go over well with real Americans.

No, I do not know that. Time will tell ;)

He won't be able to hide the conspiracy *thing* and it will be his downfall.

Lol, wow, that is a good one. I didn't have a "hidden objective" in my post. In fact, I don't believe Wikipedia mentions his beliefs surrounding 911.

Well that true Gtech, but I prefer to look at the actual voting record, of which Ron Paul is spotless. His voting records pretty much confirms my belief.

And what do you mean when you say he is into "conspiracy theories that absolve terrorists of their crimes?" This is not true. He believes there are terrorists. He just believes some of them are working in our own government.

I think that is a bit far fetched. Could it be a point of attack? Perhaps.

The beauty of our country is, you'll be able to vote for who you choose. I wont' rag on his other issues, but I will say that tinkering with 9/11 conspiracies will be his demise. It will also be the reason, which I'm sure it is in this case, that *some* who tinker in alternate reality will vote for him.

People should be aware of what's in the box, not just the pretty wrapping on the outside.

Gtech I have a question to ask you. Lets say Ron Paul's opponents use his belief of 911 conspiracies as a point of attack. When all the smoke clears, even if Paul believes 911 is an inside job, how much of an impact will it have on America as a whole, especially when compared to his political beliefs?

Some people may go wow, his belief of 911 is strange, but my goodness, he actually wants to support the middle class! And don't get me started on Obama. This guy smoked weed when he was young. He is going to get hit hard over that one.

I agree 100%. But I've looked at whats in the box for Hillary, Barack, McCain, and Giuliani, and it isn't all that good. Ron Paul is the closest thing we've got to George Washington, and I don't think thats too far fetched. Even if you don't believe in 911 being an inside job Gtech, you will not vote for him because of this one belief, despite all his other beliefs. And Gtech, just who are you going to vote for anyway?

No, Bush goes after the people you support and defend. The only thing statements like that confirm is that you have a mental illness called delusional disorder. What what should we expect from someone who sold his own country out?

This is a hypothetical that I believe will never mature. His 9/11 whackiness will be his own demise before he gets started. If one is willing to compromise their integrity over something like unsupported conspiracy theories, what else will he compromise his integrity over? That's the kind of questions real Americans will ask.

Ron Paul isn't even a contender. He's just another name, not even showing up in polls that I've seen.

Well it's pretty obvious the guy has zero chance of winning, he actually cares for the American people.

Hillary's in, and the misery will continue.

You underestimate the power of the Internet Gtech, ironically enough. Ron Paul is getting serious support from the online community. But I just have to know, who are you going to vote for?

You're probably right, and that is what makes me so sad. If Hillary wins, America has no hope. The Illuminati will win. I'm going to start packing my bags to figure out where I will have to live.

It is a damn shame to, because I love this country, it is the only place I know. But I can't live here too much longer if Americans will allow the Illuminati to put whoever they want in the White House, when you have a man that is clearly the best person for the job, even if Gtech doesn't then 911 had a cover up.

Being a Libertarian is fine, being a conspiracy nut is not.

There will be no Downfall, because he will never even be a consideration in the first place. He is damaged goods, as even people who are Libertarian would not vote for him. I most certainly would not and I agree with many Libertarian principles.

"In 1988, Paul won the nomination of the Libertarian Party for the U.S. Presidency. He placed third in the popular vote (with 431,750 votes - 0.47%), behind George H. W. Bush and Michael Dukakis." Wiki

    Haha .47%
