Looks like you want a Laptop more than a desktop. :p

Laptops aren't as easy to build as you think. Desktop computers are easier but if you get a laptop, get one that is prebuilt.

I've build all my desktops. Much cheaper and better. Now I have in my pc what I want and not what they want.

I don't know much about laptops but I think you best can (wait for quad core laptops or) take a c2d laptop.
I saw one last time I was at the com shop:
    -c2d 2.4ghz
    -2gb ddr2
    -ati x1950

    I tough it's a nice laptop. I'm probably going to buy a Acer 3020.

    Sorry for the offtopic :$

    3.0Ghz xD,
amd with so much hd's :p
Vista on a data server xD //I think it's a dataserver, cause you'll better can store your files on a server than in your own ws.

Vista eats ram like spaghetty. Use Linux, much faster, smaller, userfriendly, simpler.

I think this is more like it:
    http://www.webhostingtalk.nl/te-koo...erver-voor-amper-1799-eur.html?highlight=xeon
Only the raid controllers and hd's are missing.

am a hardware engg and i keep making desktops! i suggest you to make a desktop, just assemble, get a dualcore, some 2GB+ ram etc, that would make a computer!
you may opt for some express motherboard chipset!,

desktop is better than then laptop, i use to connect the keyboard and mouse in the laptop when i use it! i guess, with a TFT LCD screen, a desktop looks lot cooler than laptops!!:D

I have built all my computers myself, and all six of them run just fine. As for a laptop - that is near impossible to do unless you buy all the parts from the same company and pray they fit together.

    Near impossible eh:D

No it is not! All you need is a shell and with the shell comes the motherboard, with the shell also comes instructions as to whats compatible to the motherboard.. Are you okay:D No offense but have you ever heard of a whitebox notebook, google it, see what comes up... Yes indeed you are right building a laptop is hard and I will probably end up customizing one from alienware:cool: Maybe not! I can build on though! lots of people build their own laptops!

I say that because most people I know have no clue between how easy a PC box is - and how putting together a nuclear bomb without self-detonation or irradiation is. >.> Look out for that kryptonite

Dude wtf:confused: :D Whats your problem? All of a sudden your going to bash me like that. I admit I don't know how to build a bomb, but I do know how to build a pc.. Those are like two completely different things...Desktops are easy and laptops are a little tricky, I don't see the in capabilities of me building a laptop.. If the are being built by machines then why cant I build em:confused:

Well, I can! So, stop BS`ing yourself..
