I use to be one that thought it had to do with the low amount of advertisers, however, I have seen targeted YPN ads on my website, they just don't show up at the same time. It is just one here, one there.. and that's it.
From my observe and IMO the main differences between YPN and Google Adsense is that the Adsense Team has much more control and flexibility over what they’re able to implement. Whereas when dealing with YPN I would get on the phone with an engineer and we would share a lot of the same opinion on what needed to be done… and he would make comments as if it was not in his control and that he/she had no influence over which direction the program would go. In general, when I call Google I feel like I’m speaking with some friends from college and when I call Yahoo, I feel like I’m speaking to a large corporation.
I make twice the money with YPN than I did with Adsense on the same site That's good because you probably wouldn't be able to get in anyways. If they ever get out of BETA though, you should try it because, depending on your site, you could be making more $$$ than with Adsense. Comp.-------Sale------------Shares----------------Total $ YHOO..........$31.96...........13,892,548...............444,005,834.08 GOOG.........$471.51............2,716,305.............1,280,764,970.55 Looks good to me. What PoemofQuotes said about stocks being "a horrible way to judge a company" is absolutely true. Look at how many more shares of Yahoo stock are available!!! If google had 13,892,548 shares of stock available, they'd be trading in the $90 range!
Well this just goes to show that YPN is listening to its advertisers, rather than deal with shady publishers like Google does.
Yep...consider all the egregious MFA sites that are still out there. Many of them have been around since G AS began. Big G knows that many advertisers aren't getting real value with AS, that's why they are rolling out the CPA stuff now. I still like YPN a lot. I think their model for CPC is better than AS. Targeting is still not perfect (yet), but then again, the program is still in beta mode.
they dont have to catch up. they just have to compete and offer a quality alternative. as with all things, there will be pros and cons to any network. if we only have 1 real one to choose from, they have already screwed us. ypn will compete with adsense. whether it wins or loses is not the point. just by being in the game, they have already won.
With these kind of things I think Yahoo can 't beat Google only it is up to Microsoft to challange Google!
I'm really not surprised. The true issue is, why does Shoemoney get the luxury of a warning while most other publishers simply get the boot? Ok, so this is truly an idealistic and view, but it's a bit disconcerting. They truly need to set some sort of standard procedure, which includes one warning.
Yahoo does not care advertisers, publishers, hosted people, members, etc, etc. I don't know how such company still exists
a joke must be advertisers complaining maybe the service they are advertising sucks did YPN ever think of that?
It's not really fair how yahoo calls shoemoney and gives him a warning while most publishers are simply terminated without warning. Sure he has high volume but some guys with legit sites were makign XXXXX or more month and got no warning.
