Right.......I am trying my damndest to get traffic to my site but I'm failing miserably!

    I've signed up with Adsense.........earned a wapping 71c so far :D

I signed up for Adwords last night but.......nothing......no impressions or anything as yet. I must have done something wrong with the keywords I'm assuming?

I'm planning on doing a bit of Article Marketing.....waiting to hear back from nned-an-article.net as we speak (writing isnt my strong point!!).

    Any help appreciated!

Trade links with other sites, submit to directories, google your main keyword and buy links on the top sites, article marketing, PPC is a whole nother game, I wouldn't venture off to far just yet ;)

One way to increase your traffic (related to writing articles), is to contact a few newsletters or ezines related to your website.

Once in contact, ask them if they would be interested in a unique article written by you, which they can send out to their list. You would be surprised how quickly words get around if the article provides good info.

If all goes well, ask the newsletter if they would be interested in a weekly / monthly column for your articles.

Have you been to the directory part of the forum. Youu may want to submit to a few of those. Also, try and do some link exchange with simolar sites.

If you are interested in learning to do search engine optimization for your own Web site, there is a free e-course offered by an SEO expert. It's run through a Yahoo! group and there are 30 lessons in the course, so you get a new lesson each day for a month. I have no financial/personal stake in the course - I am a member of the group and have learned a LOT.

If you're interested, PM me for the link to the group. I'm a new member and can't post live links yet.

Three things that have worked for in order of success include:

-Writing short articles for ezinearticles.com. I found submitting here produced more traffic than a number of the other article directories combined.
-Build a squidoo lens. Again free and if you pick the right keywords you could get good traffic to your lens (and ultimately your site) by ranking effectively in google
-Post a couple of ad's on craigslist.com Again this could provide a growing trickle of traffic very quickly.

Are you sending the traffic to an affiliate website?

    Thanks for that.

    What is a 'squidoo lens'?

The site is my own site which has affiliate products on it.
