The field I filled has 249 characters. Why does it keep telling me this?!?!

Submitted a couple general directories; looked for a suitable category under Health for eHealthSites Health Directory but didn't see a Directories or Reference subcategory.

Submitted a few sites, its nice to see some different categories than the usual.
Promising Directory, got caught out by the mimimum word description a few times, but worth the extra effort.

Thanks Alistair, after some good advice from others here about not using category dumps i decided to follow their advice and create the categories one by one, building them slowly over about 3 days, im still adding some as i go along of course but trying to create some category difference while still providing the usual well used ones.

Hope the minimum characters for description is ok for most people, im trying to encourage a reasonable length description.

Unfortunately there are loads who appear to just copy n paste the description twice into the box.

Please keep them coming ladies and gentlemen, be sensible though please, one of the funniest things ive had so far is someone copy and pasting some of the submission guidelines on the submit page and using that as a site description.

Ah, the wacky world of running a directory, now i know what all you directory owners were talking about, it really has to be seen to be believed.
