I might be only 19 but i want to make a living off the websites with $10k per month. What kind of sites are more practical in reaching my goals? Forums? Content Sites? I think forums are really stable sites once they are big.
There are a lot of different sites you can make a living from. It depends what you're interested in. Don't start sites that you have no clue about or don't know much about. Find something you love...a hobby and start from there. If you like cars..make a car portal, forum site. Start with blogs. You can make good money of any site if it becomes popular.
its not what sites but what interest you,that will make money,if you have interest on some niche then you can do that,making a site that you don't have interested on won't let you earn money.
Spend sometime to explore your interest and build on it to make money for yourself. Just jumping into a topic which you have no interest may not sustain your website for long. You willl run out of idea very quickly.
wanting 10 grand a month and not even knowing what avenue to go down will leave you living in a cardboard box in no time. focus on making $10 a day then $20 a day and when you hit a plateau at $50 a day, re-think what else you could be doing.
Those are very lofty goals indeed. You need a ton of traffic to reach such heights. Then again, it has been done by some, even by a few members on this forum. So there is always hope, I guess.
Here my 0.02, i've mentored many people, and im not catagorizing you but i know alot of people like you. You want to "get rich quick" like everybody else, sadly this is almost impossible to do. I put in 8 hours a day into my websites, and still only make $400-600 a month, but im hoping to make $1400-1600 soon, its all about how much work you put into a site, and in term that brings you profit. Well, it is not easy to make money and it requires you to do a lot of hardwork and probably invest your time, effort, blood and sweat and money before you can be all that successful. Quick Cash is just a pipedream.
Keep browsing for new opportunities as if it was your hobby. Never expect anything to earn. If you have a "I want to earn a lot" attitude you will soon get frustrated and end up quitting. I am making good money in net nowadays, thats becoz i did everything as a hobby and never treated my time as "work". If you follow this, you can become a millionaire in a few years. I Guarantee it.
From what i have come across if you make site's that give others monetary gain in any form..by teaching them (tutorials) or starting a WebMaster forum. It gives a lot in return. Just my .35

Yea, I guess you must start small to be realistic. For me, I like laughter and blogging, and I combined both into a humor blog. I intend to promote traffic to it and see how it takes off in future. Everything starts from scratch, but you must find someone you like doing.
I love these threads. I would also like to make a million dollars per month... Set something realistic, don't believe the hype you seen in ebooks, try and first reach 500$/1000$ per month, and you will see it doesn't come easy without work. After you reached that goal repeat that process over and over again.
You guys may think im of the "get rich quick" newbies with 1 post. I have some experience in running web sites and i definetly know hard work has to be put in. Im earning $500 per month now. Please dont categorize me as the type you guys were thinking.Im just asking for ideas.
it will take about 2-3 years (maybe more)for you to achive your aim i think you should go for the stream in which you are mot interested and which is close to you heart as that will force you to achive better i am 17 and i was also planning same but i will have to start a bit later as legal age in India to work is 18
