well you just admitted to buying their domain name on a public forum for a cause of parking it and making money from their established name. Mistake #1 How are you going to setup an affiliate program on a domain that isn't supposed to be yours?
You should buy country extensions, people aren't going to search for "something".org if its a .com, but they will search for there country extension, .co.uk, .ca, .au etc. Hopefully the company gets as big as myspace, myspace.co.uk is definitely a great domain, was used as a phishing site back when i was involved in myspace, there was a lot of legal crap with that domain.
Here is Spell Checker for free. I wonder what his post looked like before submitting. All the red lines pfft..........blaring to say the least. But if I got the jest of it. Don't cyber sqaut. It's very frowned on
i don't really mind the speling, because somehow i could understand. what really irritated me was the absence of periods.
Wow, that was a tough one, but managed to get through it without a stroke. I am curious to know the name of the company too.
Did he encrypt his post so the company won't find out what he's doing? or were there actually thoughts expressed in that jumble?
It is possible he could get his domains higher in search results rankings, correct? And if he can do that, he's practically home free because a lot of (not all) searchers do click on the first link they see. That's not saying it isn't disliked by many. And enough with all these replies about the spelling, the grammar, etc. We know. We get the fact that he isn't the greatest speller in the world. He was given the link to a spell-checking program, and that's that. He even gave a disclaimer at the beginning of the post, so he's cleared legally. Some of the comments about it were pretty funny, though.
i don't see it as cybersquating, more as cyber-my-bad from the company. According to the thread starter the company has been there 5 years and is an internet oriented company. how in the world can you be the owner and / or manager of an internet oriented company that's been up and running for the last 5 years and not have bought your company's name in all the other tlds than .com? i mean, this was bound to happen. daz1034 bought the names, better for him to be him than someone else. now sure maybe the company will see it and deny him the job for that, but anyway if the job demands a little ability to write stuff in english... then daz1034 will have a hard time anyway well good luck daz with the job interview
Absolutely, by far the funniest thing I have read all day... Hey buddy... I'll offer you some spelling lessons for free.
i too am holding 11 domains waiting to see a lucrative offer in the near future...........good luck to me......
I wouldn't play around with buying their domain with different extensions in an effort to profit from it. You'll probably run into some legal trouble. By the way, they're offering you a job and you're already trying to screw them around? Here's a shot at the spelling errors for those who were wondering. Not as bad as I thought.
