I take it you don't live in the U.S.? That's A LOT of stuff to buy for 1,000,000. Where I live, you'd get the home and maybe a little vacation for the million.
Where do you live Anita? The average house price in the US is around $240k and i don't know many (if any) cities where you cant get a home for less than $1million. Building schools in third world countries wouldn't cost much money either, and a round the world trip also isn't that much nowadays.
I would help my 82 year old grandmother and grandfather with their debt, my own parents with theirs, and then invest in a property I like. With the remainder I would put it in the bank, in stocks, and education.
1. Give family money 2. Invest 3. Buy websites 4. Put a little in savings account 4. Spend whatever is left on luxuries
I would buy eggs. A lot of eggs. Maybe some chickens too. And then I would figure out which one really came first.
