If I was George Bush I would give the Iraqi government only 15 days to set up a referendum in Iraq asking Iraqi people if they want the US forces to stay in Iraq. - Later I would say, "OK unwillingly I agree to 2 months but not a day more"-. I have no doubt that at least %70 of Iraqies would vote "Yes" to the question. Imagine what a shock the %70 "Yes" would be to all the US critiziser specially in muslim countries. I would put very strict rules so nobody can doubt the results such as: If Only one of these rules doesn't meet I will pull the force out. At least %60 of Iraqies must say "Yes". Several inernational observers must confirm the correctness of referendum. If they don't we will be out of Iraq and no excuse accepted. In case of any unpredictable problem such as earth quake or whatever that cancels the referendum we will be out and will never agree to another referendum And then you would see that all the so called researches that suggest that Iraqies are in favour of immediate exit of US forces are rubbish. But now you have every right to laugh at me and my imaginary %70 "Yes". this make me suspicious that Bush doesn't really want to win this war. Why Doesn't Bush put a stop to the enemies' propaganda machine? My suggestion? conspiracy theory. .
Mate, the Iraqi government is just a "puppet government" set up and controlled by the US. It's clearly obvious that Iraq is the 52nd US state (the UK being the 51st state.)
So one way or another we both agree that Bush can easily force the Iraqi government to set a referendum. .
Bush is the Iraqi government mate, he can do whatever he wants. Except for "win" his BS war on terror.
No, no, no. Israel is the 51st state. UK is 52nd, Afghanistan is kind of like Puerto Rico.. not really a state... and Iraq is the 53rd.
For some reason this reminds me of an RPG I'm in where one of the characters (Girard Gilgoten, self proclamed champion of men) thought he had died, then asked the priest to bring on his virgins. The priest blinked and said "Virgins? We don't have any virgins here!" "What kind of afterlife doesn't have virgins?" At which point my character quipped "The kind where people have sex?"
lmfao!!! I love how you think that anyone that has any sort of alliance with the US will become another state....I guess you left off CUBA, which the US govt. at one time actually thought about buying....
I was actually under the impression that we already had an unofficial 51st state down in the Caribbean that is a US territory which was offered statehood but rejected the offer (many times) because that would loose the residents money.
Don't forget about the US VIRGIN ISLANDS, which have their own currency but also still except US currency as official currency (they are pretty much a state without voting rights)
Cuba used to be incredibly US friendly before Castro took over. The mafia controlled resorts and everyone was happy. Hopefully, after Castro is dead, Cuba will become a bit more friendly toward the US. Cuba could benefit heavily from Democratic Socialism as opposed to the Dictatorship it currently has. All in all, I just wish Cuban cigars would be legal again (in the states).
democratic socialism is very similar to communism...the govt. can do what they want...cuba would be better off just as a democratice nation, minus the socialism...no matter how you look at it, socialism is socialism.
I spent a few weeks in Havana a few years ago, it is an incredible experience. I ingratiated myself with the locals and they are thoroughly nice people. Every man and his dog was trying to sell me cigars though.
Halle Berry hangs out there...but so does a guy from your country by the name of James Bond...if you ever run into him there, tell him I love his movies, if you run into her, tell her she left her bra at my house a few years ago....
Dude WTF? I haven't been there for at least 6 years, but I'll bear your words of wisdom in mind should I ever visit there again.
Why would Bush want to win the war? His backers are making money in fighting the war, not in winning it. Once the war is over, so is the flow of the money
common liberal misunderstanding....this makes me wonder: what were those companies doing all the years before the war to make money? What kept them afloat?
