Is the general consensus right? (well seems like that from every thread I read) I just checked one of my old sites that I made a while back (bit of a failed project) that I thought was actually offline now but to my surprise is still up. www.nakedpreacherclothing.co.uk Anyway to cut to the chase it only has 4 links that I can find and has a pr3, if pr is basically related to incoming links then this should be lucky to have a pr1!!!
Maybe one of those links has a high PR, or maybe you had more links at the beginning of January during the last update and your PR is on the way down?
PR is not about the quantity of the links its about the quality of the link, I have seen a PR5 with only one PR6 link, and a few PR4 with one PR5 link also.
i agree with bigbadwolf . pr is not related with quantity of backlink . i think google has an algorithm to decide the quality of backlinks . this is more important
It's possible you got a bunch of links, had PR export, then lost those links. The Toolbar PR won't update till next export.
I do not think G counts PR by that way. Focus on ((( more links ))) and ((( website design ))) can do lots help.
According to backlinkwatch you have only 4 backlinks in total and 1 PR link that is PR2 with outbound links of 2 only. Though it doesn't justify PR3 of your site. I think it might be because you got a temporary PR4 or PR5 link which caused it PR3. That's why its always better to check backlinks not only PR figure when buy ad links
