Is someone using my AdSense code?

Hello,
I receive an Google AdSense Account Status email yesterday.
And today, I checked my AdSense, I notice there are impressions but it isn't from any of my channels. Is someone else using my AdSense codes?
Though, haven't been getting clicks today.
Please advice.

If you're sure about not having forgotten a channel, it's could come from pages in Google cache.

 

If you have adsense code on blogger it might be one channel they added. When you log in blogger and add adsense they install adsense ad on blog. This ad does not have a channel and will show impressions or clicks but not on any channel.

 

Try to contact google , they might be able to help

 

I do have a Blogger. But it is set to private and I haven't used it for like forever, and no Adsense was installed properly in there.

I have an Adsense on a WordPress I am working on. But that blog's impressions was recorded yesterday.

I added Channel for every site that I will be using Adsense. So, I am very sure if it is from my sites, they will be from the Channels.

Is it possible to have 60+ impression (earlier was 30 impressions, now it is 60+) to come from Google cache? Just want to make sure.

I guess I will probably contact Google, but I want to make sure it is abnormal or not.

Can also be the translate feature. I've had folks from another country very interested in my content so they viewed a lot of pages, but it was all via translate. I got the impressions and even a few clicks.

 

Did you sign up for the revenue share on this or another forum? If so did you not assign a channel to it/them?

Scrutinize your web statistics and report to Google on any abnormality.

 

This is a major threat. Google doesn't allow the adsense code to be encrypted.

There's no way that any web statistics software can log the viewing of source code. Let alone the act of copying adsense code from the page source and misusing it.

So sending google your web statistics is irrelevant to this issue.

I had this very concern some months ago & google's response to my email about this issue was to check my traffic logs & web statistics. Which needless to say is an utterly innefective method.

 

Spend some time googling it and you can find there are quite many monitoring software that give you enough detailed data for this purpose.

It's impossible afaik as viewing the source code is a client-side browser based event.

You click on view in your web browser which is an application that is installed locally on your pc and then view source. How can any web statistics software log this?

 

a web browser, though installed locally on your pc, is an application that allow you to browse html pages that are on www. a simple and free www.statcounter.com would have give you the IP of the visitor to your web page.

 

You're missing the point.

Statcounter can not track the act of viewing a page's source code.

It's no good sending the IP addresses of thousands of visitors to google without knowing which one of those IP addresses viewed the page source & stole the adsense code.

 

You're missing the question...viewing a webpage (which will increase a counter like "statcounter") is NOT the same as viewing the source code which there is NOT detectable. You can minimize the possibility of doing that by using javascript to disable the browsers right-click button, but that will only stop an amateur and it ticks off the pro who knows about 3 ways to get around that trick so I wouldn't even bother with it.
