Hi DPers, Now I've finished implementing my new blog theme I wanted to ask here for some feedback. All the responses I have received from visitors to my blog has been very positive, which is great, but I thought I might find some more critical eyes on here. I really want to know how I could improve aesthetics, useability, load times, content, monetization and... well any other aspect which you feel could be improved I suppose. It looks good - I would reduce the clutter beneath the posts, the links to digg/delicious etc and the ads - they make things look crowded - just a suggestion.
The content and layout is fine. Can you change the color for the links. Anything other than yellow would be fine. Wishing you success, ARonald
Okay thanks guys, I've changed the link colour to the dark blue used elsewhere which I agree makes it easier to read. I thought it was fine before, but I see where you're coming from. Im not sure about decluttering under each post. I could take out the numerous social bookmarking icons and replace them with one button or i could remove the ads. At the moment I'm just using that space to try out some affiliate product ads, but they might come off in a week or so anyway so i think i'll leave it as is for now. Keep critting please!
I like the header design. What I would change are the home, etc buttons on top. I would place them under a grey glossy background instead of leaving it just blank white (so it doesn't look "cut off" suddenly)
