I don't get this. Where does it say in the Google TOS that we cant advertise our proxies on proxy.org?? If we are a newbie how would we know that it generates fake traffic?? - Prilep
Does anyone know why proxy.org is down? It has been for a couple of days for me. I have paid advertising there too and obviously that is doing me no good while the site is down - human traffic or not.
So you can go there right now? Since yesterday I haven't been able to get there and can't right now. How can I PM the Baron if I can't get to proxy.org? Or is he a member here too?
Wait a second. Proxy.org sends traffic to proxified pages. Proxified pages can't have adsense ads (TOS) so how google knew where your traffic came from? Did you violated their TOS by using their ads in your proxified pages?
thats exactly what i was thinking, unless he put some sort of redirect back to the main page? edit: but that still shouldnt affect it
I don't get this. Why would it be the fault of the owners of Proxy.org if it's users generated clicks to your website or whatever?
Why not bring it up with Google? They should refund your ad spend if they detected the clicks were fraudulent. It would be VERY difficult to sue proxy.org.
You would not know... that is why it is called fraud. You would purchase ads on there assuming that you would be getting legitimate traffic and that it would not jeopardize your Adsense account.
It is not down. I know that he blocked my IP. I can access it through a different IP. Perhaps you have been blocked as well.
He has ignored every attempt to communicate. He has blocked me from his forum and ignored requests for information that would exonerate him. I am reminded of the old adage: if you have nothing to hide then why are you hiding?
Nope.. no TOS violations. It was purely the non-human traffic coming form proxy.org that raised the ire of Google.
Because according to Google it is not the natural traffic that is causing the accounts to be closed but non-human traffic originating from proxy.org.
The ads were not purchased from Google they were purchased from proxy.org. Why do you think it will be difficult to sue proxy.org? They have to be using US banks to process their money and where there is money there is a place to sue.
I did not have ads on proxified pages... but I am curious as to why you think that is against TOS. I can find nothing to support that idea?
fr0gman, I think you should make one post of all your posts so you dont get infractons. And its clearly against TOS to have adsense on proxified pages, its an established fact stated by adsense.
Show me where in the TOS that it says that. I am not arguing I am asking for you to show me where you got that info, because my direct communication with the Manager of the click fraud team never included what you are saying.
