Uhm... I doubt it. Trendy would be "look, everyone is using us" not "look, no one cares about MSN, so that makes us cool!" Unless Google develops some major problems. The reason Apple succeeded (somewhat) with Apple vs. PC commercials is that PCs have some really, really huge problems. Does Google ever go down, or take very long to load, and are most people upset about search results? No... There's not much to complain about.

I doubt Windows Live Search will ever be more popular than Google.

I can't imagine saying "MSN it" rather than "Google it" in the first place, even the kids around here know what Google is and some don't know what yahoo or MSN Search (they know about MSN Messenger for sure >_>) is, rather than search for it, Google it has become a term used now.

Google loads much faster, has really good results. I don't see a reason to use Windows Live Search

Although Microsoft is nearly twice the size of Google, I don't think MSN can beat Ggogle.

It seems to me that Microsoft was quite able to overcome Lotus, Quattro, and Word Perfect by offering "suite" incentives to businesses. The Live agenda seems inline with their previous success in that method. I think this this a significant challenge for Google. It's not that Google or Borland, or WordPerfect Corp are/were technically deficient, it's that Microsoft has this huge customer installed base that they can conjure up and convince that their way is cheaper and provides an adequate solution.

Microsoft is bringing better, cleaner results than Google since March 7. Google has a lot of crap in their results now.

Doesn't Corel make Quattro and WordPerfect?

Anyway, they've really implented their Windows Live products in Windows Vista, like the Internet Explorer 7 search bar has live search for default, they have links to download Windows Live Messenger in the startbar, etc. etc. so their live products might eventually take over.

For now I'm sticking with Google for search.

MSN can never ever beat google ......MSN results stinks ....they are nt in a position to maintain stability with search results ...

if we can find our result on top page on one fine day ..we cant trace it in 1000 the next day ....

if this continues ...MSN has to face lots of difficulty ....

I feel it is staying in the market just because of the brand name it has created by the name MICROSOFT

Google's results SUCK! Period! Have you done a search lately???? I mean BESIDES the keyword that you use for your site! The algo change put them in the dark ages! Content DOES NOT matter to google anymore. MSN has more relevant results as it seems they adopted the old algo Google just changed. I could care less about the corporate mentality-MSN has better results and they WILL take over if Google keeps playing their algo games.
