I am not looking forward to Pay per action. I think google should rethink it. They might make less money when everyone stops paying per click and pays per sale.

technically advertisers would have to pay a lot more. Theres no way an advertiser could get away with a 10c cost per action and then sell a car worth $20,000.

It will have to be policed by google, which to-date seems to be lacking.

that was very good thing about google. at least they now show concerned with advertisers. it will eliminate spam and untargeted clicks. im sure it has a high pricing than present adsense but it will worth profits to both advertiser and publisher. it was great for small advertisers with small budgets that lost its advertisng campaign money due to untargeted clicks. for me id like pricing to be depending on small percentage of profit from click product website is selling + bid amount and the profit will still be there.

Isn't this just going to promote a whole new wave of MFA sites and punish content sites?

I think think this is going to kill adsense, which is one of Googles main revenue streams.

I'm almost excited. Google wouldn't do something without good reasoning.

For the advertisers it will makes no sense because of no-sell no-fee policy. goodbye to click frauds.

    Pay Per Action?

What, even if you get a click they wont pay you anymore - but wait until something is bought?

The "action" is usually submitting a form or some other type of transaction to show a conversion. Just about eliminates the click fraud of adsense.

yes but im sure it pays better to publishers than pay-per-click. so publishers must have a targeted traffic.

Actually, isn't it just like an affiliate marketing program, but run by google.

We signed up for it too a few weeks ago, but haven't heard anything yet.

The thing I haven't found the answer yet to is, what happens in case of a refund.

See, we offer a 7 day money back guarantee to list in our directory, and if your unsatisfied, you are backed up by a no risk 7 day money back guarantee.

I'm just thinking if people start asking for a refund, that came from this pay per action, do we have to refund the action money as well?

That wouldn't work out too good for us.

You wont get a refund because the user did sign up in good faith.

I dont know what all the fuss is about, CPC is here to stay google isnt going to drop it.

What they are doing is the 5/20 rule that was mentioned somewhere else. they make a feature if 5% of the population wants it and keep it if 20% uses it. (or something to that effect).

Its not what publishers want (or i wouldnt think) but what advertisers want. I think CPC is here to stay, but CPA makes a lot of sense.

Let me give you an example, you have a comunity that talks about Cars all the time. Do you want ads trying to sell you cars? Or do you want ads for car parts, seats, trailers, carivans etc?

With CPA you can do this, and much better than CJ. If all you have to do is list keywords of stuff you want to sell to people rather than troll through thousands of advertisers/sellers trying to find something, then hell I want in right now!

PPA sounds an awesome idea, it means i get paid out out on a form being completed not just the link being clicked, which can be pricey when your paying upto 11 usd or 4.80 a click.
