Being that I know nothing about the “behind the scenes” of websites and the fact that I want to run one…What do I need to know? I have no problem paying someone to build my site but then what? There’s a one day general class for HTML at a local community college, is this worth my time and money? Any info or recommendations on what I should learn or what I should learn first. Obviously I’d like to start as soon as possible so what is the most important just to start and then what should I learn as the site develops and grows? Once again, thanks for your time and knowledge!!

Dude there are shitloads of stuff you can lear.. It all depends on what you interest are and what your goals are... Yes Id say you should learn HTML, it is very basic stuff, then if you want to go more advanced then php and java.. you also need to know about SEO and stuff like that, but if i were you id serch the forum trying to get as much info as possible.. if you goto the bookstore you can pick up some *For Dummies books and learn HTML very easily, I dont know if you need to go to a class for it lol...I use those books still to this day.. Good luck.. Oh yeah I would learn photoshop and Web design too...

    Search for tutorials on web

Building the site is not the HARD part driving TRaffic is the hardest (well you can olso pay a seo guy for that to) but i don't see from where your profit will be ? (unless you have the next big thing coming up)
