    I’m looking at selling http://www.IndependentMusicBlog.com. It’s an indie music blog I’ve been running a little while now. Here are the facts.

    Overview
    • PageRank PR4 after its first update
    • Started in October, 2006
    • 36 posts with 18 comments.
    • Around 30 visitors a day in March, 2007 (organic- Google, Wikipedia)
    • No advertising or marketing done
    • I submitted it to around 40-70 directories at its conception

    Revenue:
    • I have done one ReviewMe review that profited me $20.
    • I’ve had a few clicks from Adsense (implemented about a month in a half ago), but just assume no revenue there.
    • TLA (Text-Link-Ads) adspace is on the site (around a month I think) but no links have sold

    Music Reviews- I have received a few CDs, and a many, many more offers for free stuff in exchange for reviews, but doesn’t really count as revenue.

    Links
    • Only one outgoing site wide link in link exchange
    • Only inbound link I own is the link in my signature right now (will be removed)

    Blog Posts
    Most of the blog posts are just news related topics about bands that I like. I have a list of great feeds that I get most of my news from which I can give to the buyer if wanted.

    Why am I selling?
    The cliché “I’m moving on to other projects” applies here. Also, I’ve done a terrible job monetizing it, and I haven’t have the commitment to exploit its potential. This blog could be pretty big, as it has a great domain name (at GoDaddy) and PageRank. Indie bands are also constantly gaining more press and publicity, so the industry’s popularity is growing. (Examples: The OC’s Soundtracks, The Shins Debut at #2 - lots more…) </infomercial>

    If I can’t get a decent price for it, I may invest a bit more time into it, but I’d prefer to hand it off to a new developer, as that is what it probably needs.
