Haha, same.. Well rarely Lots of strange things in every city (random: but I saw a sign that said "customers wanted, no experience necessary" before.. it was quite funny)
The planes themselves are inexpensive - like AUD $75 - $200. But each plane has about $400 worth of gear in it (servos, batteries, RX, motor, ESC etc). Then there's the controller (TX), which is anything from $200 to $2000+. There's always 'ready to fly' out of the box cheapies, which are good enough to start with. They suck, but they're cheap.
