I was wondering what's the going rate in dollars for selling a signature link spot on a forum (not the whole sig). Also, what about the avatar & location section as well.

If someone could give me the going rate for these, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you are talking about only DP, then the rate is $10 minimum for signature link and $9 minimum for avatar per 1000 posts...
In other forums prices will be lot lower...

Avatars usually go for way less than signature links, since avatars provide no link! For example, last December mine went for $25.00 for one month.

Don't sell your location; that's just silly. You won't get much out of it anyway.

rates depend, and seem to range from time to time. My last sale for 1 link went for $40 for 3 months but I hope to better that when one of my links free up next week.

I think people look for posts per day as well as total posts among other criteria

I think I there was a site that helped estimate value posted on the site here somewhere.

1000 post = $10 for the signature. so you can get $40 for all your 4 signature spots.
you can also get $10 for you avatar, and $5-10 for your blog feed. but then i can't say about the location spot, never sold it, it is actually the place you live.
go to buy sell section, and start selling them, you can also do a bidding for it! start with $10 and see what happens:D

    Thanks for all the replies.

So basically, just to sum up, the going rates on DP are:

$1 per 100 posts for a signature spot.
$1 per 100 posts for an avatar.
    50c - $1 per 100 posts for a blog feed.

    Question:
How do you add a blog feed to your profile?
Would this be the same rates with other forums like Namepros?

Well, when I joined DP a couple of months ago, I heard of people selling anything they could including the Location spot too. Hey, if you're not using it, might as well sell it!

I dont think blog feed is worth that much as much as sig links. Actually perhaps it is since it is a link.

Yeah, it's difficult to tell since it hasn't been really experimented yet.
I don't think a market value exists for it.

I wouldn't price the avatar at the same rate as a signature link. Since it really isn't a clickable link- maybe something like 50C per 100 posts may be the way to go. Ofcourse an avatar will show up on all your posts whereas a signature will not show up on your previous posts, if you hadn't enabled it.

A market for the blog feed does exist. It is untapped, but you could get tons of links from a member who has a large amount of posts. Yes, they may all not be quality, but it is a link all the same.

Well I don't think so that you would get $0.50 to $1.00 for your blog feed. I think you would get $1 per 1000 posts around.

This saves me starting a new thread as I've similar questions to ask. I've only been here a week after lurking for a while, so I can now offer sig links for sale. Since I've seen people on here (quite ridiculously) asking for cash loans, I'm assuming that as much as I sell myself as a great person who will post regularly forever, my newbie status prevents me from comanding any kind of decent fees for my sig?

How do you add a blog feed? I can't seem to find any options in the "User CP" for it.
