Some moron has taken a page from one of my sites and published it on their own site. Worse, they have left my adsense code intact, with my publisher ID Worse again, they have increased the number of adblocks to four on the page - why? i can't imagine. Still worse, they only live a few kilometres away so might be seen as associated with me (its a page from a travel site about my region and they've added the page to their holiday rental site). I don't know them at all. Even worse, they use hidden text on their site so will probably get banned soon enough. I found out because in google webmasters I saw a link from their site to mine - they left part of the menu intact, which links to pages in my site. I've emailed them telling them to remove the page - no response yet - and I've emailed adsense support telling them it's not my site. Is there anything else I should do?
That's the best you could do I guess. Contacting the adsense support before anything happen is a very nice move. I think you're fine now.
Go and stand outside his house with a megaphone nah, seriously, as long as you've emailed support telling them you should be ok, make sure you keep a copy of the email you've sent them and get a read/delivery receipt if you can
i'd forgotten about this, but should explain how it ended... I had a response from adsense, which curiously referred to the other site as 'my site' which was a bit worrying as it was never was, a point I had made a few times in my mail to them. The problem page is still on line but the adsense ads have been removed, as have the photos and the style sheet - so now its just a text file on someone else's site with lots of links back to my site. So I can live with that. No need for megaphones or baseball bats this time.
