ebiztrends, try to submit your Affiliate Program to Affiliate Program Directories that are for free. You may want to test the waters from there. Afterwhich, you can proceed to Affiliate Crew for a paid sign up but you will surely make the most out of your payment.

About affiliate site, you can start making your own site. CSS and HTML are the basic requirements. You may also do blogging or go to squidoo and make a lens. Those are free strategies to start an affiliate site.

Two of the best affiliate directories are cj.com and linkshare.com. Both represent a huge range of companies and both pay promptly once a commission has been earned. One that I'm looking at, at this moment is shareasale.com, again a huge number of companies being represented.

One of the best ways of promoting an affiliate program for "no money down" is squidoo. I'm no expert but I'm slowly getting to grips with it. It takes very little time to learn

These type of directories (CJ, ShareAsale, Linkshare) are more commonly known as affiliate networks, which is a different thing to affiliate program directories and these are also not free these affiliate networks to get your affiliate program listed.

    To morrisey: You're welcome.

John is right, Nyah. Cj and the likes aren't affiliate directories. They are network solutions. That's where you enrol your merchant site or sign up your affiliate site. Examples of affiliate directories are:

    http://www.refer-it.com/
    http://www.affiliatehangout.com/
    http://www.incomemax.com/
    http://www.affiliateseeking.com/

Not that I work for these sites personally...don't get me wrong...I just want to give an example to correct something.

You can google AFFILIATE DIRECTORIES and see that you will have a bunch of these directories where you can submit your affiliate program.

About squidoo, it can be used to advertise any site whether an affiliate site or something that works as back up to your affiliate program. But it definitely won't work as your main site to contain your affiliate program.

Other than shareasale, you might want to look at Affiliate Crew. For now, I'm proud that they have something that only very few affiliate programs have -- dynamic links. In the case of MoolaMoola the dynamic links allow affiliates to create links to any page on the merchant site. It is something that few affiliate programs have so readily available.

I suggest you get affiliates with low competition for the keywords but high payout. You would also need to get high trafic to your site.
