I'm use a D-Link G-604T and have had absolutely no problems with it.
I'm running a PC (wired), laptop (WPA wifi) and PDA (WPA wifi) from it.
    ZERO problems.

I have a fair amount of experience with linksys routers and access points and I must say that I never have problems with them.

Basically it doesn't really matter what brand you go with. as long as you know (vaguely) what you're doing. It's just a matter of reliablility, support (e.g firmware updates), signal strength, and depending on you're nerdy skills - how easy it is to get working.

Find a friend who has WiFi working nicely, and just buy whatever they've got. :)

I don't think you can even buy b any more, Is g standard?

    Anyway get g.

I had a b and in my old house it was solid, 100% signal and all that...new house it was buttkiss...not sure if I have lead paint or interference with the neighbors or what but I bought a g and I was good to go.

    g-money!

I forgot about that! Often some will be able to do all 19 protocols :p or 4, a/b/g/n, etc.

Took me a minute to find this...why do I not start @ wiki, I should know this by now!?!?!?

I like Netgear. Have had the same router for two years now, works flawless. Be sure to use an encrypted connection. Easy to setup and prevents your neighbor from tapping into your internet service, which is very easy to do if not secured.

not sure on the netgear, but I know you can download new Bios' for the Linksys that will expand the range up to 1.5 miles....going that high might fry your router though...I have mine expanded enough to cover my house with 100%

Also, do most routers come with ethernet plugins? So I can like still run my PC and Xbox Live off the same system? If not, how would I integrate it?
