I just started my first site about laptops. Have posted 10 reviews (20pages) and got over ~100 un/day. How do you think guys, is this number of traffic normal for that amount of content? Also I get ~1$ of adsense revenue, and how much you earn from 100un/day ?
of cause, it depends on the ads price and click amount you get. maybe you can take a look at my article of my signature.
I think $5 is totally possible. It used to be a discussion some time ago that more or less arrived at that a good, well optimized AdSense site should bring from $0.03 per unique visitor or $3 per 100 uniques.
congratulations on reaching 100 uniques with a site you just started. I normally look at the eCPM (earnings per 1000 page views) to evaluate a site. 100 uniques that visit 10 pages each are worth more than 100 that only visit 1 page. How much is this for your site? Between $2-$5 is the eCPM range I normally see, with a number of exceptions if you have well targeted visitors in a high paying niche.
it depends on the click on ads and the price that advertiser place in each ads, sometime a click might fetch you $ 2- $3.
Actually when it comes to the AdSense it does not make any difference. 100 uniques is 100 uniques, no matter how many pages they view. When they see the ad they like they click it and leave your site no matter how many pages they viewed prior to that. I am not going to dig into repeated clicks by the same visitor as that is inherently wrong and will ether cause smartpricing to kick in or even worse - invalid clicks accusations. So for AdSense it is the uniques that count (even though AdSense stats don't show that and leave that to us to figure it out on our own).
if you have very low pages/unique, it normally means your site is not providing what the visitor is after - they are not likely to return nor click your adds.
This is a bit of a faulty logic. Unfortunately, the reality is that if people like your site, view many pages and consequently find all the information they need they will not click the AdSense ad, but simply leave.
I kind of agree but the argument goes, the more pages they view the more likely they come across an ad they like.
