If your site disappeared completely then you can take it as some kind of first warning if you do any black hat seo techniques. If not... then just ignore it.

    *crosses fingers*

Man I hope my rankings in the SERPs bounce back considering they completely bombed about 18 hours ago. Either someone at Google is stuck at work for their Easter long weekend and wanted some entertain or maybe Google might its own little Easter surprise coming in the order of a significant algo change...

really strange lol. like grg said though, if you weren't using any black hat seo techniques, you probably shouldn't have to worry about it.

To me, this morning's SERPs look exactly like those of about one month ago.

It is possible that G has attempted a data refresh, and has now rolled back a month for some reason.

LOL a month ago my site was ranking in Googles SERPs...... so I doubt that they have just reverted to old data.

The only thing I have changed to the site in the last month is I have added Kontera ads...

EDIT: I logged into my Google Webmaster Central just to see what was happening in regards to the backlink update and wouldn't you know it my site was last indexed on April 6th, and according the stats in Webmaster Central my site presently has only 6 inbound links which is a far cry from the 3000+ it would have had on April 5th when it was ranking well. So I guess the latest backlink update for my site has gone crazy and reported my site as having 8 backlinks when it really has thousands which obviously has result in the site being dropped from the index.

LOL and I mean I was looking through the 8 backlinks that according to Google I do have and I mean I don't think they could have picked worse ones, LOL they look off the DMOZ, wikipedia, Yahoo directory etc etc links and go straight for the crappy links on freewebs sites or in signatures from forum posts that are completely irrelevant to my industry - old Murphy's Law strikes again.

It is natural, majority of SEOs experienced the same problem. :)

That is so bizarre...they took away your backlinks to DMOZ and the Yahoo! Directory? That's got to be temporary, right?
