PR5 Serious Tech Blog - Premium Domain - Traffic and Revenue $$$.

Discussion in 'Sites' started by GeorgeB., Apr 9, 2007.

  1. #1
    URL/Domain: www.MensTech.com

PR5 solid through last 3 PR updates

Request a PM here for traffic and revenue proof if you require it. Check my Trader Rating.

Description: Tech blog for men. I just write about anything tech that men would be interested in. Which is pretty much anything ;) This domain has the potential for serious branding alone and as such I will not take less than my asking price.

Plans for the site: Simple, I planned to use the site's great trust rank from being an aged domain (over a year old) and PR5 to get it to rank for "gift ideas" and "gift ideas for him". Over 330,000 searches monthly combined (source: http://tools.seobook.com/general/keyword/)

I basically go to sites like uncrate.com (which is what I modeled it after) and read blurbs and write them in my own words (even throwing in amazon affiliate links once in a while). I get long winded myself but you really can run the site by posting short less than 50-100 word product blurbs just like uncrate.

New owner gets my list of RSS feeds I check for new tech products. It's all you'll need.

Site Features List (for those who just want to get to the point :))
    • PR5
    • 750 - 800 uniques per day. And I haven't updated since 02 April)
    • Only requires 2 or 3 updates per week to maintain traffic. Traffic increases the more you post thanks to blog/ping.
    • $350 custom UNIQUE design.
    • Premium Domain
    • Powered by latest Wordpress version with Widget ready (and installed) template.
    • Site got 3938 visitors from Google images alone this month (April) and it's only 9 April.

Revenue: The site has earned a total of $345 this month. Mainly form link sales. People LOVE tech blog links, ESPECIALLY PR5 ones with traffic. I posted the link sale here on DP and 6 links sold out in less than an hour. 1 is a year link and one is a 6 month link but you can add more links spots and increase the price to make even more money next month even with those 2 spots taken. What does this prove? You can take all the low performing adsense and chitika ads down and direct sell ad spots here on DP and make a LOT of money.

    Starting bid is $1100 firm.

BIN: make a reasonable offer in that range and I'll likely accept.

    Payment by PayPal.

I am so curious - you just bought this one and sold another great tech blog not long ago - why are you selling? I don't mean to be so forward, but before I bid would be interested in your reply.

Plus, how long are those links you have sold locked in for?

    Thanks,
    tasty

    hi tastysites,

I often move my focus. I found about the power of blog/ping and how easy the traffic is (especially with a PR5 site) and jumped in as a side niche to my already thriving business.

But personally I just don't have the time. I sold the other site thinking OK now I can focus on MensTech but I just have so many sites I find I rarely even have the time to write a quick blurb on a tech product. Hence the sale. I really had no intention of selling this one especially with this domain. But I'm not going to just sit on it and waste it which is where it was headed with my lack of updates lately.

    PMing you now.

You can remove the footer links if you like but those are exchanges so they actually benefit you.

    It's your call.

Actually, the mini-banners in the footer were sold about a month ago. I have one, and I would appreciate it if it stayed. It is on subscription, so I guess you can do what you want, but please keep the link up through the end of the subscription:

I would assume those were the footer links you were referring to George.

wow, all the links being that MUST remain are ridiculuous. When a site is sold the owner should have fulfilled all previous link orders or held onto the site until the link placement times were fulfilled. A new website owner should be able to remove all undesired links from his/her new site and the prevous owner should take responsibility and refund the link buyers.
